If I may have your attention for just a moment please
I'd like to put my two cents in to see just who agrees
At times with all our new found friends things could be mis-construed
But in the end that would depend what thoughts you use for food
This place for some may have become too swift for rising star
As pieces penned will soon descend way down below the "bar"
With very few exceptions to this rule could this be fate ?
Though many here would call me fool here's what I postulate
It seems to me those names you see on top are often there
Not just for their ability to write with style and flair
They've earned a spot that most have not for they're a special breed
That makes the time to comment on the poetry they read
Alas I cannot count myself among those of their ilk
As one who's dropped the glass I must suppose I've spilled the milk !
