The Sun had known her
Her beauty he had seen
The grace of her lines
The shades of gray
Her presence made him full
Her sight more the meaning
But it was all he had
was to look at her.
The Moon had known him
She had seen his power
The power to help her shine
To fill the earth with light
She had seen his wisdom
She had seen his grace
His presence comforted her
His power kept her close
But it was she had
Was to feel him.
They both loved one another
Both from great distances
Each one needing the other
Each one in awe of the other
Both could have shared moments
Both felt the moments
And in those times
They was nothing else present.
Through the millennia
They had loved enough
For mere worlds
To collapse and fall,
There’s was  the truth
That love is pure
That love even at a distance
Could become great
And ever present,
For they were to beings
Who’s souls shared all.

Michael G,

Lovely writing here.  Heavenly images . . .the sun and the mooon.  So perfect together aren't they?  I enjoyed this one.

Poetry should surprise by fine excess...it should strike the reader as a wording of his own highest thoughts and appear almost a remembrance. -J.Keats
