Upon the satin pillow case
A rose to greet my morn
Placed within a crystal vase
Tears from heart are torn

The good-bye you gave no voice
Treasured time now flown away
To leave there was no choice
You must be on your way

Held within your grace
Loved beneath the moon
Star dust fingers trace
Again... never comes too soon

Words whispered on a dream
Love shared within the night
Lips caressing velveteen
Dancing silhouettes of light

The need turned to addiction
Mere embers to blazing fires
Ecstasy without restriction
Uncover sweet desires

Inhale the rosy scent
Soft memories come alive
Loving you sweet torment
Numbed feelings you revive

Still your presence fills me
Though your mortal form is gone
Sadly...how it must be
As darkness succumbs to dawn

BDC,

The butterfly is ablaze with life!!!  You go!!!  The light will come my friend.  Hang in there!!  WE will see it together . . . soon.  You have a greta talent for wrapping these up very neatly.  Perfect.

So softly you cascade your thoughts ~
A treat for this heart.

Oh Butterflies!  This one brought an ache to my chest.  You elicit such emotion in your poetry.  I absolutely loved this one.

Sadly...how it must be

Beautiful rich thoughts and desires
within your lines of poetry.
I often wonder why it has to be this way.
So many times love is just one way and our ecstasy turns to sadness...is this due to bad selections on our part or is this the nature of love...James
