We will fly in the wind,on broken wings
Mended by love, yet never the same.
Past pain, not forgotten, but learned from, and cherished.
For without it this new love might never have been.
So starting as friends, we'll take one step at a time
Building on trust, taking our time.
Setbacks we'll have, tears we will shed,
But well worth the cost, whatever the pain.
So fly in the wind, these wings worn and battered.
Learning again that love's a great healer
Chancing it all for that look in our eyes.
Flying,yes flying,on wings ever stronger,
As love lifts us up and sets us to flight.

I loved it Paula. Past pain I've tried to bury but its impossible. It'll linger till everything is erased by the hands of my lover.

Sincerely

"Learning again that love's a great healer."

Mending those broken wings to fly again eh Paula. Well I think you're doing a fab job here of describing how it's going to work.

Hope the love heals for good this time.

Don't let the winds of yesterday keep you from the gentle breezes of tomorrow.  Great read and well defined.  Keep up that hope and spread those wings.
