I looked around the room
trying to escape
wanting to find a different place
a way out
anything that would get me away from them.
Then I spotted you
looking "dapper" as always
as my mother said
and our eyes met.
I gave you a look
with hope that you would save me
and as always you were my knight-in-shining-armour
you sauntered over
to the corner of the room
where I had been standing,
and in one swift second
stole me away.

we made our way to the balcony
getting there took forever
but when we finaly did I was so relieved.
Better?  you asked
and I just nodded, gazing at the sky
the starts were bright tonight
you seemed to sense I wanted to just stare
and you as always were ok with that
you were always ok with anything and everything I wanted to do.

where did I find you?  I asked
you just smiled at me and replied
I found you...
I let out a giggle
and you placed your arms around me
and we gazed up at the stars
with the moonlight dancing around us.

well thanks
I'm glad you enjoyed it...
a real conversation that is that happened to me...
and he just thinks he found me, we really found each other.

Romantic tenderness is such a joy to read when you put your pen to it.  Wonderful read.
