You woke me up again last night.
Your twisting and turning, thrashing and moaning.
It must've been the thousandth time in your short eight months that youve kept me up.

But in those waking hours at 2 or 3 or 4 A.M., bleary eyed, I see your sweet profile and I think how lucky I am.  How perfect you are.  How never in my wildest dreams could I have imagined a son, my son, so beautiful.

I wonder what I have done right.  I can't find any reason for me to have something so precious and perfect.  I can only think of the mistakes I have made in my life.  How none of them mattered.  God didnt hold it against me.  He gave me you.  The littlest angel.

I love you Jakes.
