A moonbow umbrellas the evening,
So peaceful this nights deep hush,
Stars in the sky seem spattered,
As if from an artists damp brush.
Drifting on untethered waters,
Away from the dark, shadowed shore,
Silhouetted by beams of moonlight,
A swan glides into the moor.
The reeds bow gently in welcome,
As she weaves her way to her mate,
A wake of whispering movement,
Waters stirred now slowly abate.
Nestled together in umber light,
They settle in to their dreams,
Wings embracing the others heart,
Under the moon's softest beams.

we can learn a lot from swans ... we can learn a lot from this poem ... too bad some people can't spread those loving arms a little more often
