She's just a housewife who does the same chores every day.... She washes, and irons, does the dishes, then puts them away.... She's raised all her kids, so it's just her, all day, all alone.... But she doesn't mind it, for she has a life all her own...... She wakes up her husband, she feeds him and sends him to work.... The smile on her face makes her feel like she's going berserk!!! Her life was so boring, until she connected, you see.... Now the everyday housewife can't wait to turn on her PC...... It takes her to faraway places where she'd never go.... It opens the door to new friendships that she'd never know.... It gives her the key to a new world and new things to try.... It makes her feel young, but the best part is she feels alive.... She sits by herself at the table when he's gone to bed.... She turns on the screen thinking nothing she did or she said would ever be worth his attention, so why does she stay? It's harder to pack up your lifetime and just walk away...... The everyday housewife still smiles when she looks on the screen.... To find someone's reading her words, even strange as they seem.... They'll never know how their comments make her day worthwhile.... She's an everyday housewife whose finding new reasons to smile...... |

Hi Paula.... I think this piece shows lonliness and that's pretty much the idea, but I hope it also shows that there are ways to remedy it, even if it's just a machine that connects you to the outside world. I hope it helps someone who might be very lonely........it helped me! Love received is equal to love given! |
