I lay beside you as your sleeping
I ask if everything’s all right,
You say yes everything’s all right,
I love you tender as your sleeping
I say how nice it is to have you in my life,
I love our life as it’s deepening
You smile and say you’re happy as my wife
I been waiting for so long for a love like this
I been waiting for so long for your tender kiss
I love you tender as your sleeping
I rest my head back on the pillow
I love our life as it’s deepening
Thinking how nice this life has become
You smile and know what I’m thinking
I wonder were this angel has come from
I smile and love you while your sleeping.
You say I just may love you if tomorrow comes
