Colors Of Hate

Hate,Racism,
What does it mean?
It means I don't like you,
Because you look different then me.
But what's the deal with that?
How can it be?
What's in a skin color,
A religon,or a belief?
Why does this cause hate?
Cuz' can't you see?
If everyone looked like you,
That would be something,
You wouldn't want to see.
Or at least I wouldn't.
I wouldn't stand by.
And watch the world go bleak,
When all I'd see is white.
God made colors for a reason,
Instead of just one.
We're supposed to be together,
Be real, and have fun.
When I don't like you,
Becuase you look diffrent then me,
There's something wrong,
With this world that I see.
I don't know anymore.
Maybe it's just me.
But in my eyes I see,
You and me together,
For once, in harmony.

I think we all should be color blind! And I agree with you, we should live in harmony.

I agree with Poet deVine and you. We have enough trouble in this world as it is without hating some one because of the color of their skin or their religion. I perfer to treat them all as individuals.
Great thought provoking poem!

LilOne~
On reflection I would have to say
that it may very well be the same
neutral shade of a being without a heart or soul ...

Whatever shade ignorance is
might describe it best !

Nice pondering piece.
Thanks for sharing.
