With Every Note ...Sven's Challenge

Melody of my heart,
song of my life
the tunes that escape
press their meanings upon you
each time we kiss.

With every thought
with every touch
the music of your love
plays upon my heart strings
in an endless melody.

Feeling your  comfort
in every word
knowing your heart
is resting in mine,
I dream each night
breathing to your rhythm.

You are my life
my reason, my purpose
my will, my strength
you warm my soul,
brighten each day
my friend, my love.

Overwhelming is your tune
you play to me.
With every note
I am reminded of
the music of your love,
the melody of my heart,
the song within my life.

A musical duet With a friend, SEB.

Sven..thank you so much I decided to check out the challenge forum and was impressed by these lines you chose..I love a challenge in  any form...just thought it fun to ask a friend to  respond the male part in the italics...
~~soft thanks for the chance to show off a bit

kaile...I don't know what constitutes an amateur...I am a former early childhood teacher..the very young  speak and learn  in rhymes..maybe it rubbed off on me..I  have only been writing a short time..but meter and rhyme come naturally, even iambic pentameter which is hard for some...it's the free verse that I have been concentrating on  the last few months...it allows for deeper thought...also the moment I began writing and found the poetry responding sites I went out and bought books on writing...I will always enjoy learning...

~~soft thanks again for your constant support.

MM a wonderful duet, thank you for posting this lovely poem.

why must we pray
screaming? why must not death be redefined? we shut our eyes we stretch out our arms and whirl on a pane of glass-patti smith

Maureen~
I LIKE THIS !

You took the challenge and ran with it ...
taking the ribbon at the finish line.

Enjoyed it so much, my friend.
