A Memory

I hear the strokes of a heart confined
I hear the echo in my mind
I long to shed the bitter taste
Of such a love that’s grown to waste

Released from that which held me close
Sent off to find what I need most
A place to share this love so true
No longer yours, misplaced by you

So feed me not these gentle words
Concealing that which makes me burn
I’ll move on, still loving you
And save this spot that makes me blue
A piece of me, my heart will be
There inside you to always see.
A Memory

Thank You all so much.
Memories can be like a double edge sword hurting and feeling good at the same time.

Sad poem, but take heart in knowing that it does get better and love will come again.

There are places inside our souls -
that have never been touched.
There are places inside our hearts -
that need to be loved this much.

Spiked~
The recall of memories can be the sharpest pain ..... or the greatest joy
at any given moment changing right before us.

'I’ll move on, still loving you
And save this spot that makes me blue
A piece of me, my heart will be
There inside you to always see.
A Memory'

You've captured the memory well.
