          “DO YOU REMEMBER”

My lady, will you meet me tomorrow, at dawn.
In “Glockamora”, the most romantic place we both know?
We met there for the very first time,
Remember, though it seems like ages ago?

I will be waiting in the early morning of the day,
Before the mist starts lifting from the pond.
The green forest will be so quiet,
I’ll be listening for you, just as the fairy waves her wand.

The enchanted bridge that we knew once before,
You know - the one that crosses the stream?
The stream that flows through the valley,
That brought us closer to our dreams.

When I see you standing there in the morning light,
Wearing a lily-white dress just for me.
I would gently and firmly take your hand in mine,
And walk with you by the pond so serene.

I would gaze at you with my gentle blue eyes,
And cherish you as you smiled.
Watching the gentleness of your face,
Looking like a mother’s child.

While you stood there in the misty dawn,
With the breeze blowing through your hair.
I would slowly turn and face you,
And kiss your soft ruby red lips, if I dare.

I would hold you ever so gently,
In my arms and softly say in your ear.
How very happy you make me,
And how much I have missed you, my dear.

And again I would whisper to you, about the first time we met,
On the enchanted bridge that crosses the stream,
You know - the one that flows through the valley,
Filling us full with our dreams.

And then I ask my lady, will you meet me tomorrow, at dawn,
In “Glockamora”, the most romantic place we both know?
We met there for the very first time,
Remember, though it seems like ages ago?

  Well, Bill....

This one took my heart, my vote
and whatever else it wants!! This is
truly magical, and that's what did it
    to me,
          the enchanted bridge,
          the mist on the pond,
          the fairy's wand.....

          Very enchanting, Bill, and
               very, very good!!!!

Sunny1,
I am so glad that you were here when I posted this and you were able to read it before you left. Your comments are like magic to my fingers, as I type away on these keys. I would love to have a place in the mountains and just write my heart away. Maybe soon! Thanks Sunny.

'I will be waiting in the early morning of the day,
Before the mist starts lifting from the pond.'

My favorite line ...
I can see the lifting mist.

Lovely.

Hi Sunshine,
I blush with delight with your comments. To answer, maybe - maybe not, but it is my heart that teases me to write, until perhaps she or someone will. Thanks for coming by and reading my poem.

Hi ddgoose,
All I can say is, if you're on the bridge waiting, perhaps I'll be on the otherside. Thank you for your comments, and welcome to Passions.

The enchanted bridge that we knew once before,
You know - the one that crosses the stream?

Bill,
There must be something about bridges over streams that attract romantic poets, and these vereses are truly romantic and tender, such a wonderful combination.
A superb poem, in every way
From a fellow romantic

Thank you for your gracious comments, as this poem is one of my favorites, mom's too!
Thanks for coming by and please do so again.

Hi Elizabeth,
You are too kind, and yes, I love romantic bridges over quiet streams, meeting someone special there, oh yes. A romantic I am, and it's hopeless, but I love it just the same.

Thanks once again for coming by, hope to see you again. And it's nice to know that there's other romantics out there to meet.
