       "WINTER LOVE"

Remember the day we met again,
In the snow covered mountains reaching into the sky?
Where I whispered in your ear how much I loved you,
And I stared into your soft blue eyes?

I mentioned how you had captured my lonely heart,
And filled it with your fondness.
Feeling you in our tender embrace,
And the touching of our lips with their moistness.

You stood there in front of me as the sun rose,
Caressing the peaks with its rays.
They touched your gentle pretty face,
And it shone in so many different ways.

They also touched your long dark hair,
As it danced serenely in the breeze.
A smile from you lit up the morning sky,
Standing there as we did, amongst the towering trees.

Sunbeams touched your soft glowing eyes,
Through them I could see the sparkle of your soul.
They also touched your lips of tenderness,
Which were as soft as the falling snow.

We turned and kissed freely as lovers will,
Passionately, as your soul melted with mine.
Yes, we were here, as the snow gently fell,
Tasting passions from each other, so fine.

A meaningful caress, a tender touch, and one gentle sigh,
Touches me with your softness, as I feel love so deeply within.
The warmth from your closeness burns with desire,
Which I am aware of, as I touch your smooth tender skin.

We lay together in the early morning,
Whispering words of love in our ears.
Holding and touching with faithful fingertips,
And we say to each other how much we care.

We spoke of all the dreams that we had dreamed,
And when we first met out there, out of nowhere.
All the feelings that we have shared with each other,
Growing this love together, only because we dared.

Your gentleness has excited me,
And your words have soothed my being.
An inner beauty from you has brought my soul awake.
My happiness is no longer fleeing.

Because now my heart is free of the sadness,
The tears have gone from inside me.
Softness and gentleness have returned to my eyes,
So I can fondle you with them, as I see.

And now, I still remember the day we met again,
In the snow covered mountains reaching into the sky.
Where I whispered in your ear how much I loved you,
And I stared into your soft blue eyes.

Beth,
Thank you once again for your warm reply to my poem. It feels so good to be able to write and then to have someone read it, and be touched by it. Thank you again Beth.

"Yes, we were here, as the snow gently fell,"

The placement of this one line in such a tender piece of writing was perfect. Your poetic voice is very pleasing. I enjoyed this.

Another beauty.  The feelings you pen are masterfully done and your insight is truely amazing.
