In my mind
I escape this room
Where silence is entombed

In my mind
I see the light
On this perfect night

In my mind
I close my eyes
Taking on another guise

In my mind
I dream of tomorrow
Swallowing tears of sorrow

In my mind
I feel your touch
The memory's too much

In my mind
The anger is gone
Peace awakens with the dawn

Jenn, Glad to see you writing of happier times to come. As you know right now I am an emotional wreck. Thanks for giving me this small glimpse of hope

The mind is a very powerful thing.  After the heart has ruled for so long, sometimes it is best to let the mind take over.  Good expression of emotions here Jenn.

In my mind,
Words from your pen flow,
Provoking thoughts that, a path, show.

Lone Wolf....
An excellent poem here putting forth the emotions with right measure...

Everyday is a new day, and a fresh start! I really liked this poem. Just when your feeling alone, you find out what a small world it really is.
