Invisible Costumes

Invisible yet palatable
jagged pieces torn
fabric of family
too ragged to repair,
mismatched patches
craft ill fitting attire.

So we start anew
with fresh clothes,
turning to admire
strange new selves
mirroring pasts,
harboring futures,
holding unseen hands.

Corinne, as always you paint images that leave me in awe. Vivid and wonderful.

why must we pray
screaming? why must not death be redefined? we shut our eyes we stretch out our arms and whirl on a pane of glass-patti smith

perfect C,
you write a part of my past in this.
as always...
you do this with such ease of word choices and imagery
take care

There are places inside our hearts -
that need to be loved this much.

......

I am delighted to read such poetry... simple words... easy looks... but way profound in depth....

Corinne, I am always amazed and dazed by the clarity and sharpness of images in your thoughts...

regards,
sudhir

Many thanks, Butterflies and Sudhir.  Not as much time to write now, so poems have to be whipped out rather than cultivated, which bothers me, but we do what we have to.  Guess it is better than quitting entirely!
