All the world
the universe
inside me
chaos
all disperse,
release of sigh,
all questions why,
let the moment write the verse.

I love the night.
I love the dark.
How brilliant
is a flash of spark,
in silence
in my solitude,
lighting candles--
sweet perfume,
and thoughts that play
as if on lark--

I love the night.
I love the dark.

And in the brilliant
light of dawn,
I shade my eyes,
I stifle yawn...
I save the tears
that I've not wept--
they wonder why
I have not slept...
and I feel free.
I've played in park.
I love the night.
I love the dark.

Serenity~ Serenity~ Serenity~

This is a calming and beautifully serene
piece of poetry.
I'm immensely impressed with the phrases
you've chosen to tell of the night.

Really, really excellent.

Serenity, a beautifully written piece. Can I bring my flash light to the next sleep over I love the dark too but it can get scary sometimes.   excellent piece.< !signature-->

Thanks to butterflies---I knew you were a kindred spirit!

and brian---no flashlights...just candles, and the light of the monitor, of course!  nothing to fear...till we run out of beer...

The dark is my muse itself it is my inspiration

perhaps the dark is what i was born to i know not if this is true but the dark is inside me

Master and slave too.
