The red light is on ,
but the power is down .
i re-try the switch ,
and i give it a little frown...
...still nothing ,
so i revert to silence ,
the only thing i hear is my own sobbing nonsense ,
and in the back of my mind
the words...
..."one day"
but for now ill keep those words at bay.
The sky is blue ,
but its getting dark .
and now the dog ,
begins to bark .

Im all by myself , im all alone
so i let out a little moan
The words "4 REAL" carved into my arm,
i have been caused so much harm .
I lay on my bed and begin to cry
i always end up aking myself why
why me , what have i done ?
where is this "black hole sun"?.
im ready now take me to bed
all this mess up inside my head .

if only the power was on....

"Everything Must Go

Shed some skin for the fear within
Is starting to hurt me with everything

Freed from the memory
Escape from our history, history

And I just hope that you can forgive us
But everything must go

And if you need an explanation
Then everything must go

I look to the future it makes me cry
But it seems too real to tell you why

Freed from the century
With nothing but memory, memory

And I just hope that you can forgive us
But everything must go

And if you need an explanation
Then everything must go

Freed us eventually just need to be happy, happy" Nicky Wire.

Hi CK, an intense poem, yes there are times when the darkness sets in and things just seem too much, but speaking from personal experience things do get better. I really enjoyed the poem, take care, and stay beautiful, brian.

I enjoy poems written with this form and this one was no exception to that rule! The
saddness ran so free through the lines.
Thank you for giving it a second run
through~
