I had only one moment, one brief breath of time
To gaze upon your face
I read a lifetime in your eyes
I remembered your childlike grace

And though we never met before
I've been missing you for years
Vague remembrance in restless dreams
Crying phantom tears

With my hands so feeble and cold
I reach to touch your tender skin
Im longing for your familiar embrace
Aching to feel your warmth again

I close my eyes and kiss your lips
My world stands still in time
Countless decades of days gone by
Come racing through my mind

And yes, we are but strangers
With so many stories untold
But with that kiss i breathed you in
Not knowing you, but your soul

Through this eternity Ive lived many lives
Searching endlessly for you
Knowing our souls would meet again
to begin our love anew

But it seems that the fading centuries
Have aged your memory
And even as our souls embrace
You don't remember me

But I am as patient as the universe
And i have the wisdom of my destiny
One day your soul will wake your heart
and bring our ancient love back to reality.

I like the span of this; the feeling of eternity.  Knowing deep down that there is a timeless bond in love.  Good stuff!

This is beautiful Pout. I know who you are talking about and I know why this was said. Your feelings for him are always apparent even when there is a downfall..Keep you head up..Fate and Karma both deliver..Great Poem!!!
Blessed Be,

Just wonderful. . .

destiny is strange. . . just when you think you have it figured out. . .

Excellent. . .
