Such A Small Place
~*Marge Tindal*~

Such a small place
This tiny space
The heart of a child

Such a place of wonder
Torn asunder
This heart of a child

Such a shame
This candle's flame
Unlit in the heart of a child

Such shouldered pain
does still remain
in the heart of just one child

Such a broken cup
not filled up
this shattered heart of a child

Such a small space
the unsmiling face
Lies in the eyes of this child

Such a small cry
unheard does lie
within the heart of a child

Such a bleak day does dawn
to carry on
the death of just one child

Such a small place
does now encase
the heart of this child

Such times are trying
Even the flowers are dying
Such a small, small place

Oh Marge ... I knew where the inspiration was coming from before I even read your notation. You've captured such an aching sadness that dwells within our hearts in these situations. The innocence is lost so young for some. Beautifully touching Marge.

Best wishes,
/Kit

Oh Marge, This is so sadly touching.
"Such a shame

Is there anything darker than seeing a child whose flame has been extinguished???  Thanks for this one.  Bonnie

Marge~
such a sad piece, reminded me of the little face before me on the front page of yesterdays newspaper. A baby boy smiling but not so now he had been tortured and bashed to death in his home by unknown persons.
So terribly sad Marge indeed.

This is truely sad when a child has happiness and innocense taken away.  Darkness should never touch the heart of a child.  Very beautiful.

Marge~

I sit here typing as the tears well up in my eyes.  You have touched my heart with your words.  It is indeed a sad sad time when a child's light is extinguished.  So much hope and promise lost.  Each child's light is precious and should be nurtured.  Great writing my friend.  So much feeling in this piece.

Marge......I knew the minute I started
reading this that you were inspired by
Krista's poem. You once told me that there
was nothing more beautiful than a poem
inspired by another...and this Marge shows
the caring heart within you.

It only takes one person speaking out to save an abused or neglected child...but too many times we turn our collective heads because we CHOOSE not to get involved.

never say never

Paula~
Thanks for the reply.
I just hope that we all continue to be
the eyes, ears and most of all the VOICES
for the children of the world.

I CHOOSE to be heard and to get involved
in the life of a child in need.
I've done it before and I'll do it again ..
and again and again.

We MUST be the voice of the children.
Thanks again for your thoughts, Paula.
