Because I'm young, My song hasn't yet been sung. Because I'm not in the in crowd, And yet still I'm proud. Because of the way I think, Makes my heart sink. Because of the way I feel, My emotions someone did steel. Because of my name, That's just how people play the game. Because of my brother, He is my significant other. Because of my point of view, But exactly who are you? To judge me. Because I have a gift, My soul does the angel lift. Because I find the good in everyone, And yet my life seems to be done. Because I am me, I am different from you. So you choose to ignore me.... |

sometimes it seems we are ignoring people..but really we are just caught up with our own lives. We should all remember to take time out once in a while to get to know one another. I know for sure that here, with a talent like yours, you are soon to make many new friends. Keep up the good work! |

Thank you, I appreciate that. It's not real easy being 17 and trying to get people to read my poems and especially when everyone is probably older than me and the teens just don't understand. I'll look for some of your poems and tell ya what I think...  |
