Hair of gold falls softly in curls
And those blue eyes light up the world
Playfulness of youth abounds everywhere
Pink cheeks highlight skin so fair
You are a very special little girl

Birthdays are your time to shine
It is when the stars will align
Radiating up in the evening sky
Twinkling and shining from so high
Here is to your wish coming true
Days will be filled with many things new
Always know she is your best friend
Your Mom will stand beside you to the end

Callie I hope your day is grand
And that you'll dance when you hear the band
Live and love with all that you are
Let your dreams take you far
I know it will be a happy birthday
Extra special wishes are sent your way

*This poem was written for Callie, who is my best friend's daughter.  She will be three years old on Wednesday.  I hope she has a great day.

LoneWolf~
Oh, my gosh !
One of my muses is named Callie ...
and I like it so much that I suggested it
for my friends who named their baby Callie Rose ...
AND ... one of the children I mentor
shares this lovely name !

This is simply an awesome and tender
piece of poetry.
I just love it !
Love it !
Love it !

Happy Birthday,Little Callie !
