Few Hold On To It (Love)

Love has said to be the greatest
of pleasures, but the total sum of
souls that have possessed this
prize of all prizes and then lost
it is not countable by a humans
own power.

I know of someone that possesses
an unconditional love for all.
Never showing their own needs or
wants for this would render there
greatest gift valueless.

I asked them were they found
the unlimited love they possessed,
in return the words were spoken,
it pulsates through my heart
which then  flows through out my
body and then is given to all I
meet upon this earth.

I asked another question, what
happens to those who do not take
the love so freely given, and they
replied I give until it hurts.

They smiled at me and said
if I could, I would give to all
eternity, for the sharing of
love was meant to last for all
time, never to see an end for
it is the most precious gift one
can give another.

All seek love, but few hold on
to it, and what is the saddest
thing of all, is that the love they
pass by today will haunt them
tomorrow. The more blind you
become to the sight, reality and
understanding of love the more
willing you are to toss it away as
refuse.

LittleCerenity~

I believe that the secret to love
is giving away more than you keep.

If we give until it feels good ...
then it always does.

These are just beautiful thoughts that
you've shared with us.
What a tender heart you hold within you.
*HUGS* from mine to yours.
Love ya' ...

Cerenity,

Nice writing here.  There is much truth in your words my friend.  Sadly most do not realize what they had until it is too late and they threw it away.  I like this one a lot.
