wish she knew
          how much I loved her
          how much I cared

wish she could have seen
         past the mirrors
the smoke I blew at her

why couldn't I show my love
how come I hid it from her

why was I so afraid
what did I have to fear

she use count  on me

but
      now
      to her
I don't
     even
          count

maybe I feared
        getting hurt
ironicly,
    the regret
        hurts more than
any person
      could ever
           hurt me
I guess you live
           and learn
but I feel
     I may have
         missed
     my chance
           to live

Listening to every heart

This is good free verse, asks a lot of questions, even criticizes the person for his actions up front...I like this.

IsGona.......

I think this is truly a poem with
unusual insight!! You made me see that
the worst pain in a relationship is not
really from the other person, it comes
from beating ourselves up over what we
'should have done'.  That's a hard lesson
to learn......

        Thankyou for writing this...
          it helped me think!!

My heart is an open book
....take a look....

James,
Glad you enjoyed my poem.  And I'm sorry you had to experience this type of regret 'cause I know how much it hurts but I do believe it taught me alot.  Can't be afraid to open my heart any more.
Thanks for your nice comments,
IsGona
