I miss his hands
That held mine when he first said hello
I miss his eyes
That looked so much like mine
I miss his arms
That held me in that first embrace
I miss his lips
That kissed mine and trailed across my face.

I miss his body
That fit so well against mine
I miss his breath
That quickened on my neck
I miss his voice
That was so gentle in my ear
I miss his music
That was so sweet and clear.

I miss the odor of candles
That burned in the room
I miss the dance of my
Tongue entwined with his
I miss the movement
Of my hands on him
I miss our being together
In a room romantically dim.

I miss our special
Time in that little town
I miss sitting across
The table from his smile
I miss our talks
Our touches and our caring
I miss the smell and
The taste of him...our sharing.

I miss him.
Ooh,how I miss him.

Beautiful read.  As for the missing muse, ask Janet Marie for some hints on where and how to find it.  She seems to have had alot of practice with that lately.lol  Glad I stopped to read this.  It was well worth it.

lol at Mark...my moody muse is becoming famous(infamous) LOL
I was just telling balladeer on his repost...
there must be some pull of the moon calling our muses off.
I've noticed several poets of late with missing muses...I guess its part of it...
something we have to deal with.
At least we have these great reposts..
I remember this one...I liked the way you missed his scent...
mmmmm very sensual
great writing
take care

There are places inside our souls -
that have never been touched.
There are places inside our hearts -
that need to be loved this much.

I found this to be so longing and heart rending. I think it's wonderful work and glad you posted it again. Good poetry never loses it's beauty in the appreciative readers eye.
