Her eye's have given promise
To years of those whom have looked
Wrinkled now with grace
She accepts her fate
Once and still beauty
She takes her time, no more
Giving to others her smile
Of this comfort has grown
One look into those eyes
And you see the wisdom of life
Tears that have come from hardship
Strength close behind
What brings me to her presence
Might her granduer be so much
None but my mother calls
And gives me this thought.
