You sit emptied
of love,
that wall of loneliness
surrounds the lost sea
of your soul

tears fall in
blackness of night
spiraling within
that air of
hopelessness

the world emptied
of your spinning mind
tripping from the axle
of your universe

your heart
darkened, a closed book
of dreams, shredded,
knifed to fragments
small

though
a light seeps through
among the torn pages
of your days adrift

the beacon of your
life, falls upon you

your winding roads
alight, free from harm
follow the bulbs
of safety

and

you will land uninjured
you will shine

I don't know if you will ever see this,Maree,
but I am going to write this and hope you see it one day.It is over 2 years since I left the life I knew.I am doing better now...
although,to be honest,Maree,I will never be the same.I just want to tell you that even if you are on the other side of the world,you had touched me deeply with your care towards me.Now,here it is,after all this time,I did a search for all your writings on a computer that is actually mine (my first),and I find this tribute to me.
Maree,I don't know what else to say to you...
I've tried to reach you by email a number of times to no avail.If you never do make contact with me,I want to at least respond to this and say "Thank you from the bottom of what is left of this heart for being a true friend at a time when my world was falling down.You will never be forgotten.You will always be my Dark Angel"
