To find humor in that instant
when your bubble has been burst
Though it seems that since an infant
things have gone from bad to worst

Riding waves of vast depression
on a ship that's made of sorrow
May well be your one transgression
is the pain you choose to borrow

From those days that never seem
to work out like you planned
Trade the ship-wreck of your dreams
for a pocket full of sand

That somehow filled your trousers
from that isle just out of reach
Or remain a hapless browser
in a life that's just a beach

Let's accept the imperfections
knowing they will always be
Just as present in your future
as in mine it's most likely

And as a child in a sand-box
that's been over-run by ants
Drop those Dr. Denton's
*and teach 'em how to dance

*Just a cautionary note : This will necessitate changing the sand , but the neighbor's cat was probably using it anyway .

LOL Doc
Great poem, and so true.
Humor is a great solution to depression,
as long as there is a way to turn sorrow
into ironic laughter -- There is always
hope.

What - those lumps in my sandbox are
cat poop? -- I thought they were last years
mud pies!

netswan, d , Irish Rose , Marge ,
Sorry for the delay , I tried to post a reply this morning , but apparently  either I was still asleep ( or my computer was ).
Thanks for the comments . If I've left a little humor behind , then my mission is still on track .
