My flying hound

My mind takes wing in private dare,
Setting a course of who knows where?
Away this world of soil and toil,
Good bye this world of cauldrons boil.

Mutely seeking illusion's mean
Searching o'er the forbidden scene
Looking, longing, to glean a gleam,
Within the fragile of a dream.

While stars light a forever night
Horizons dot a specters light.
A daring dare in full display.
A dance as sensuous as ballet.

On heavens winds and all it's means.
By countless views and toll of dreams
It chases like a common shrew.
In searching for its passions coup.

My mind leaps free a flying hound.
While I stay truss impotent bound.

I'd rather be a flying hound
Than chained up in this life, earth-bound
If I can't be a soaring eagle
Then let me be a flapping beagle
At least I'll never see the pound!
