Just to hold her is enough
To give her a safe haven from the world
To come to when life gets rough
Her body next to mine, in my arms curled

Her head lays on my shoulder
My hand runs through her soft and silky hair
Keeping her warm when the nights grow colder
Nowhere else I'd be than with her there

Her body drifts off to sleep
Her last words are a gentle "I Love You"
Tonight my love, your soul in mine I keep
Until falls the morning dew

Sven, as always the romantic that you are, you've captured again the tender love, romance, beauty, gentleness, caring. Shall I go on??  This is another beautiful piece you've written.  *sigh*

We seem to be having quite a few of these gentle, sweet comfort poems here today...I loved this, Sven.

What can I say, Sven!  Are you stealing this angel's heart on purpose or does it just come naturally?!?     Beautiful piece once again!!

I've said it a thousand times before, and I'll say it again, you, my friend, are the king of romance.  Casanova's got nothin' on you!  You make all of us swoon with your words of love     As always a beautiful poem, making my heart melt.  This has my vote, it would be a perfect addition for the book.

Hey, I have an idea, can I be your manger?  We can start a dating service:  "Sven For Hire," you can wine and dine the ladies while reading your romantic poetry to them under the stars, it's ingenius, we'd make millions and of course I'd get 70% being your manager and all     LOL

Take care,

Thanks to all of you!!!!

I appreciate your taking the time to vote and to comment!!!

Melissa, that's a great idea!!  But I think that I would probably get tired from reading that poetry over and over again. . .

And besides that. . . why do you get 70%????
