With these strong rhymes that my pen's carving,
I'm gonna bring forth that sweet soul like Marvin,
to fulfill any soul that was left starving.
Like the words of a preacher, I speak the message,
that was give from God, the man who addressed it.
Everytime I read my poems in public,
I command and control,
the audience hearts
because, I 'm rich in soul.
My words bring forth the pain, the cries,
and all the happiness for your soul to rise
cause like the Old Man River, I'm dark and deep,
and like a mountain top, I keep it nice and steep.
I believe that I have a chance,
to become a famous poet
because, my poetic abilities,
leave people in awe of me.
For a better world, I suggest some soul
because, everyone wants to achieve their goals.
I know that I ain't gonna end up in no prison cell
and make the rest of my life a living hell
because, there's a big world out there,
and lots of chances for me to excel.
With these rhymes, I'm gonna rock and roll,
and erase all doubts that I don't have soul
because, I'm a true God-made giver,
that has soul, instead of alcohol in my liver.
Just like a muslim, I'm keeping it real
because whatever's in my heart,
I say what I feel
because, this tongue holds for noone,
as the truth in me, burns like cajun,
that's waiting to be triggered and fired,
like bullets from a gun.
If any of you want beef by the pound,
you better head to Meattown
because, you won't find none here
cause, I'm choppin it up, soul by the pound!

It is really great to see someone with so much self-confidence.  Some have none, and even those that have a little, all to often seem to keep it hidden.  Excellent work!  Really enjoyed it!

When we speak what is 'real', it is usually well received! Nice to see you again, Nate!

Nate Dogg, a truely soulful poem. Sing it proud. A wonderful poem.
