When you talk speak blessings
Don't rudely share your news
Each word you say is blessed or cursed
It will heal and soothe or bruise.

Speak blessings to your neighbors
Do not put down your foes
If can't say something nice
Then keep your mouth well closed.

Speak no word of evil
Your kindness will return
For no good deed goes undone;
What you say someone will learn.

So when it's time to speak up
Remember this one rule
What you say comes back to you
Whether meek and mild or cruel.
