I don't know how to say it poetically,
I'm not gonna dress it up in rhyme.
I lack the fancy words to tell you ...
God, I just miss you all the time.

There's no point in trying to deny it,
I doubt I could even define it with my verse.
What I lost in you seems to have taken my words,
the silence of this ache, now seems to be my curse.

I don't think I'm ever gonna learn,
I have been falling like this for so long.
Still I refuse to say you were a mistake ...
It felt too damn right to ever feel wrong.

So I guess I choose to suffer in silence,
I'll just beg my muse for every single verse and every last line.
I'm not gonna think of you with regret ...
cause with you ... for a little while ... I had a taste of something fine.

Janet Marie

It's amazing
how you make your face just like a wall
how you take your heart and turn it off
how I turn my head and lose it all

It's unnerving
how just one move puts me by myself
there you go just trusting someone else
now I know I put us both through hell

I'm not saying
there wasn't nothing wrong
I just didn't think you'd ever get tired of me
I'm not saying
we ever had the right to hold on
I just didn't wanna let it get away from me ...

JM, my heart aches deeply for you my friend. This is raw and vivid emotion.  Your words convey such sorrow, but you do it so well. But then, I've learned to expect that from you.  Wonderful job.

Janet,

I don't know else to say but WOW!!!

With emotions this raw only words from the heart could describe it. No need for rhyme or reason, only pure honest emotion. I truly feel the pain throughout this piece. You wear your heart well m'friend

Your heart bled in every line sweetie... it
tore softly and then it ripped.  No we
wouldn't regret it because it feels to sweet
at the moment...what a pair we make...lol
Bring on the pain and watch the show!!

I don't think I'm ever gonna learn,
I have been falling like this for so long.
Still I refuse to say you were a mistake ...
It felt too damn right to ever feel wrong.

**Angel Wing Hugs** I know you fought
for this one....pain inspires but when it
runs deep it's lost withing the raging
waters of our heart....more will come and
when they do.......I'm standing on high
ground with my kleenex in hand and a rope
to pull you back out when you need it!!
Take care...love ya!!

Janet Marie--tears came up with this one and I know the pain well.  What is it that happens to cause the downsurge in a love that started so strong.  I ache all over for you

Oh hon...no one should have to suffer in silence and as always, it seems you have just the right words to express your feelings. So sad, but one we all can relate to.

Not sure what's worse, the silence when noone is there or the silence when they are.
None the less, does anyone ever get used to the echos of rememberance left lingering in the heart when they're gone?
JM, your words are so full of emotion, as usually is the case.
Here's lookin at you kid!

Janet-
The emotion you put into this is so raw and just amazing work. The only word that keeps coming back to my mind is "WOW". The line that I love is:

"I don't think I'm ever gonna learn,
I have been falling like this for so long.
Still I refuse to say you were a mistake ...
It felt too damn right to ever feel wrong."

gosh..that says it all. AMAZING WORK dear!
love & all,

JM,

This was a very vivid look into a heart that has been hurt so deeply.  Most of us can relate to your pain very well I think.  You wouldn't change the way you feel if you could because you have sweet memories of a love that is no longer.  No one can take those away from you my friend.  This was so touching.  Wonderful expression and look into your heart of gold.

You have the gift to "tell it as it is" with your writing my friend.  This is very sad, Jan.  I am very sorry you are going through such a hard time.

JM, I'd swear my screen took on a sad look while showing your poem. It takes a great deal of talent to be able to accurately depict so much sincerity and emotion in a poem and you obviously have it.

Butterfly Slippers,
Your muse is lying to you -- you're writing great. Would that more of us could write so cleanly, concisely and with so much impact.
