I've seen our spirits fly, though not a lovers' dance
I've seen us flying high, and yes, we take that chance
To listen with our hearts, erasing as we grow
The lines that stand between us, walking on tiptoe

Not wanting to foul out, I take two big steps back
I love you as I do, between good-bye attacks
I dream of new tomorrow's, one day at a time
When I can clearly see without the use of lines

No lines to restrict me, to journey as I please
No lines to confine you, heart and soul at ease
No boundaries, no borders between you and I
No fear, no regrets, friendly spirits in the sky

Well done here Hm3! You've shown love and sorrow all in one shot. And often it's hard to meld together two concepts like that.

As far as being "bad," you have to understand, LOL, sometimes here in the open forum things sink quickly! It doesn't reflect on the poem or the poet themselves, just on the overwhelming nature of so many people in one place! Things like this happen! I've seen it happen more than once to even the established poets we have here!!!

Take care! And we'll bump this back up where it belongs!

I hope that day will come for you. really enjoyed the poem.

A rock pile ceases to be a rock pile the moment a single man contemplates it, bearing within him the image of a cathedral. Antoine de Saint-Exupéry
