~SANCTUARY~

If you fall helpless
beneath the winds
and rains of life,
I will lift you up
and be your shelter
from the storm

If you should find
that you are lost
all you need to do
is turn around
and take my hand,
I will guide you home

If your dreams
fall shattered
from your mind,
I will kneel beside you
to pick the pieces up
from the floor
and give them life again

If you ever feel persecuted
by the cold, bitter world,
I shall wash the lonely tears
from your face,
and remove your crown of thorns,
so that you shall only know joy,
today and forevermore

If you become blinded
by the shadows of solitude,
the light of my love
will gently caress you
to help you see
that you are not alone,
for, I am here for you

If you long to hear
a word that is true,
just rest your weary head
upon my breast
and listen as my heart
speaks of love for you

If you ever need me,
just call my name,
for, I shall always
be your sanctuary

Just wonderful Melissa,
you have a lot to offer. . . I hope that one day, you will find that someone you will be able to give this devotion to. . . and get it back in return. . .

Excellent poem my friend. . .

Melissa beautiful poem and we all need a sanctuary.
