~Needs a little help~

Never felt at home.

I have never felt at home before
in any of the towns I've been.
I have always been ready to pack it up
before I had even settled in.

I was born with a wandering heart.
I can't stay in one place too long.
My mind starts to get that restless feel
and my soul hears a travelin' song.

I have seen every one of Colorado's peaks
and their beauty I could never tell.
I have seen the wonder of Arizona
and from the edge of its canyon did yell.

I've crossed the border into Mexico
and drank tequila on the beach at night.
Though it seemed very close to Paradise
I had to leave before the morning light.

All those lonely years I searched
for a haven from all life's harms.
I have never felt at home before
'til I found myself in your arms.

This is a great poem!  LOL, and being from the south, I'd have to say, it had to be the man who convinced you to stay!  Just kidding!  Truly a beautiful and touching piece.

Wow!  Y'all are too kind.     I've made it a book submission like you asked.  I haven't submitted any because my poetry is no where near the level of others here, but it is truly an honor that some think it is.  This was a very fun one to write and I'm glad that you all enjoyed it.

Oh my goodness ... I do like this.

Now ... how about posting
'I see a lot of me in the snow'
in the Voices on the Web area and
give it a chance to be included
in the book ! ! !

You're kidding right TA?

This is just wonderful. . . home is where we feel safest, where we feel most loved. . . where we are. . .

Excellent!
