In the beginning I was cautious. I had fun, and so did you. You treated me like the woman of your dreams. We laughed, and talked for hours. Our first kiss set me on fire, I wanted you so badly. We'd sit for hours on my couch, and hold, and kiss, and talk. We would head to bed after spending the entire night, simply being. You would touch me, and hold me, and stare intensly in my eyes. It was months before you ever made love to me. You could have had me anytime, but we waited. The way you touched my face melted my soul. The way you looked into my eyes pierced my heart. I never meant to let you in. Your touch, your eyes, your heart, got inside of me, and then you dissapeared... |

Tulip, a heart breaking true to life poem. It saddens me to know that there was someone else besides myself, who has been sacrificed at loves expense. Honest & Beautiful poem. |
