Travelling Sunday morn
Closer to heaven
Your beloved hills,
South fork of the Carson
Rushing hope in its course,
Our world glistening,
Sierra snow cap melting
In your emerald eyes
Merging with this stream.

Senses are heightened
Taking mental movies
Time for once tranquil
Gingerly on sharp rocks
Flashes of hand, face and
Thigh so close as to
Blur lines between us.

My mind expects oceans
But I’ll take mountains,
rivers with you
On any Sunday.

Thank you very much, Corazon, Sudhir, Martie, Mark and Janet Marie, I really appreciate your kind comments.  Just had someone send me a nasty email telling me I'm no poet, so it's nice to come here where I know my friends are.

Corinne,
Don't even lend an ear to nasty e-mails like that... We all know that your poetry is excellent... There will always be vile and disgustful people in this world, who out of envy, false ego etc... try to hurt another person just by trying to be a 'smart-alec' and pass snidy comments...
So cheer up, we are all here as friends...

Take Care,
Sudhir

Corinne~
This is so lovely ...

'My mind expects oceans
But I’ll take mountains,
rivers with you
On any Sunday.'

*Isn't it nice to know that there
are 'boring' people out there who
can't write POETRY ... so they write
nasty e-mails ?

I got one of those once ...
guess what I did ?
YEP !  Wrote a poem about it
and used the 'psuedo' name of
the 'publishing' place as the title.
Published it on a site that I knew
the idiot had seen my poetry on.
It was titled Ashes In The Wind
and the poem was prettier than the
nasty e-mailer deserved !

Well .... I'm here to tell you
You are a POET !
So deal with it !

Love ya'

Corinne, I would have to agree with everyone else.  You are now and have always been for as long as I have been in Passions.......a poet.  A very good one at that.
