A child looks up to heaven's blue, ...and sees the rising sun, The old man sees the end of day, ...a life that soon is done. Both espy celestial city, ...within sky's azure face, Sculptured clouds of vapored mist, ...belie eternal grace. Clothed in calm of welkin glory, ...comes forth the new day's dawn, Journeys Helios, o'er earth's landscape, ...spreading warmth upon. Beyond the walls of heaven's gate, ...as light of day is cast, Beyond the realm of world's horizon, ...another life is past. |

I truly appreciate all the comments. I was reading a book last night, which putting it mildly, was not an exceptionally interesting work of literary genius and my mind started to wander... |
