which way should i go i just dont know everyday i cry inside i can longer deny everyday i cry no longer do i wanna live alie death seems like an easy way out there is no doubt yes, its forever why would i care this pain i can no longer bear ive tried so hard to be strong but no longer can i go on my life is worthless its plain to see im a failure,a mistake, a screwup thats me Silent |

Silent: I once felt what you are feeling but I thank-god that I didn't choose death over living. I'm not saying it has been all roses, far from it, but if I had chosen not to stick it out I wouldn't have seen the joys I've seen either. I have gone through alot of pain in my life but I found it's the pain that has made me stronger. It's unbearable to face when you're going through it. I know the feeling. You just want to die and escape. You feel alone, worthless, that nothing matters anymore and at the time it doesn't, but eventually as time passes the pain lessens. The memories are always going to be there but they get pushed further and further behind and then you find that because of that pain you have become stronger and are better capable of handling situations that you are presented with. The happiness will come back in your life again. It'll happen when you least expect it. Don't cheat yourself out of that. Talk to someone you trust about your feelings don't make a fatal mistake. No one in life is worthless, a failure, a mistake or a screwup. Everyone makes mistakes at some point, I know I have. Don't let those mistakes control what you think of yourself and don't ever let anyone and I mean ANYONE make you feel that you are less then. Better days WILL come. I'm not saying it's going to be easy but you need to stick it out and when you do, you'll see. You won't regret it. Talk to someone. If you don't have anyone to talk to there are alot of us here that care and that you can talk to, but you need to do it! Hi Silent you know everybody hurts sometime and lots of people have gone thru the same situations you are experiencing right now...whatever it may be that is getting you down...so I suggest you find some friends your age and start sharing your experiences with them and try to work out the things that are bothering you....get out and experience life...you are not the only one that has been hurt...but I know things can be rough if you feel all alone...so take care of yourself..find some friends that care for you...they are looking for you....James |

Hi, I was directed to your post by another member who was concerned about you. Strange? Maybe, since that member doesn't know you and you don't know him/her. But that's not odd here at Passions. When one of the family expresses a 'Death Wish', we tend to rally together. I've checked out your website - it's good (are you that angel in the picture?)  I hope these feelings you're having are temporary. No one should feel this much despair. You are not worthless, a mistake or a failure! I've responded to several of your poems in the past, and just re-read all of them again through a search Silent Soul. Your words are so filled with sadness, it is sometimes difficult to determine how to respond to help you understand that "life does get better" beyond these teen years. Your pain and confusion in reading these poems you write comes through so clearly, and that in itself is a talented gift Silent Soul. You have much to offer, so please consider talking to a professional counsellor. I sometimes joke about the fact that my father is a psychiatrist ... but in truth, he is a man I admire to the depths of my soul for I've seen the people he has helped. Someone like this is a third party and does not judge or criticize ... they work much like this forum ... almost anonymously, but with professional guidance. Although I can offer comfort here in this forum, I do not pretend to have the answers you seek. Your thoughts and feelings are safe when speaking to a professional ... they will only help guide you and assist you in exploring your sadness to help you see beyond the pain. Your poem "Is it the Answer" frankly terrified me, as I was familiar with the term "cutting". A teenager I went to school with did this to herself, mutilated herself, and I recall speaking to my father about it at the time. He told me stories I could never imagine ... and yet these were some of the people whom he helped to get out of such vicious cycles of self-abuse and sorrow. I simply can't urge you enough to seek counselling Silent Soul. You've said that you can't speak to your family and they "think" you're happy, so I urge you to speak to a school guidance counsellor, school nurse, family doctor or close adult friend ... they can help you find someone who will help you understand all of these emotions and help you to be the happy person you so want to be. Please take care Silent Soul ... Silent...I am reading in between the lines of your poem. In there I find a very kind, loving and sensitive person. Out of the abundance of the mouth the heart speaks. For you to take the time to share your words of despair with us is a start in the right direction. As you can see from the previous comments there are people that care...ALWAYS right here at passions. Just plain simple folks who realize that problems of all kinds don't last forever and that we always grow to a greater maturity after dealing with them. I agree with Kit, it is amazing how a well trained person like his father can gradually set your mind at ease. Seek out the help of someone like this and you will always be thankful for so doing.
