Dark voices sing of lover’s folly
Romantics sing a sweeter tune
Complex meters in sonnets resound
Of moon and spoon and June

A simple verse or an intricate form
Stand hopefully side by side
Hoping the reader will know that it
Was written with passion and pride

The computer is off, but I still see
The words as they flow and ebb
These poets and writers convince me that
I hear voices on the web

A fitting tribute to both those of your stature and to those of us who still struggle with our words.

Excellent tribute Sharon! The book submissions have been incredible ... I've been trying to move around all the forums and read some submissions from each. It's been tough keeping up with all the wonderful reading lately, but I'm hoping the long weekend will allow some catch-up time!   Wonderful poem!

Best wishes,
/Kit

Your computer maybe off now while I just switched on,
Sighted these words from you as they did really flow,
A tribute to one and all you paid, so great,
I too hear voices calling out with endearing whispers so low.

Thanks a lot Poet deVine for reminding the unimaginable worth of the brilliant line-up of poets and writers we have here at passions....

Regards, Sudhir.

This was not written for submission..but as a thank you note.... I'd like to see EVERY poet get a poem in the book...if that can't happen, then we'll make 'Voices on the Web' the hottest selling book of poetry EVER!!! And the next book will include more and more poems and poets.

I feel that being a part of Passions in Poetry is in itself a wonderful thing! We reach so many people, touch so many hearts that we ARE those voices...and people are hearing us!!

May they continue to linger...with so many great poets here, what more could we ask for?
