Forgetting you is easy
when you're not here
standing on the edge
looking back
still trying
to understand
making sense of it all
was it just Gods great plan?

so many unanswered prayers
left in my memory book
things my God
must have over looked

must have been
the changing season
must have come
when I was sleeping

Now it is just
unanswered prayers
that I must let go
unanswered prayers
hiding in my soul

loving you was easy
most of the time
hurting you was just one more
of my foolish crimes

now we must let it in the past
forgetting all the good times
that we had
too easy to pretend
that our love still thrives
how do i move on?
when I've destroyed so many lives?

now all that's left
are my unanswered prayers
that i've whispered in the night
unanswered prayers
that can't deliver me from my plight

just you and me
for eternity
that is how it was
supposed to be
now a longing in my heart
just wants to be free

God must have forgot
about you and I
dreaming night and day
about how hard i've tried

now all I have
is my unaswered prayers
keeping me warm
unanswered prayers
if only i hadn't wanted more.....< !signature-->

Most all of us have thanked God for not answering some of our own.
It is heartbreaking however to still be awaiting His replies.
