Love Trap

You're completely loaded with ammunition
When you set out for your hunt
And there’s nothing more rewarding to you
When you bring back what you want

You calculate your every move
Hunting out your prey
A strategic charmer with a plan
You set your trap so she won’t stray

Manipulative to the core
You find your ways to keep her there
No remorse or sympathy
It’s all a game and you don’t care

Playing on all her weaknesses
You’re a master in your art
She’ll be hypnotized before too long
You’ll move right in to take her heart

Unfamiliar and unaware
Of the games you plan to play
She’ll believe your every word
And with you she’ll plan to stay

Right then you’ll have her heart
Her body and her soul
You’ll take what you can take from her
Then you’ll toss her in the cold

But the day will come before too long
When you will meet your match
You’ll be the one to be reeled in
And you’ll become the catch

Caught off guard is what you’ll be
You’ll give your total soul and heart
To the one you want for life
She’ll laugh and say
It’s a game I do play
I've been playing from the start

MysticalNights:  Thank-you so much! I'm so glad you liked it. Yes, what goes around always comes around sooner or later.

Prometheus:  Thanks! I'm so glad you enjoyed it

James:  Some people do play games and it's a shame that people get hurt because of it. No I don't ever plan on falling in love all by myself. Thanks

Hmm .. this poem makes one think
Reflect on many of things
One issue is for certain
True love is never a game
Yet in this world of passion and romance
One risks it all and takes the plounge
To discover their heart could be the rite one

Coco:  I agree, true love is never a game and with love we take that chance that maybe just maybe we may just find the one who that is right for us. Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Tracie: Yes, what goes around comes around. I agree also. Not with just love but with everything. At one point it comes around to a full circle. Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed reading it.

Kit: Thanks! Glad you loved it! Yes, in this case the hunter does become the hunted.

Brilliant! I love the way you have put this.

Kat,

Oh yes, they will get theirs in the end.  They always do.  That is just plain mean to play with someone's emotions like that.  I am seeing how you have worn all those "costumes" this week.  I hope next week is better for you!!

This is the Love Police and I have reason
to believe that your heart is in danger.
We would like to put your heart into
Protective custody. You will now be known
as Pickle Jar and here is a plane ticket to a
tropickle island. Oops! Tropical island, where
I insect will be your bodyguard. They say you
should bring a minimum amount of your personal
things. I suggest your apron and maybe some sun
glasses! When we get there it's best if you make no
contact with anyone except with myself. Oh! They
say you can write on some place called Positions in
the Pantry or Pain in Pleasure or I don't know something
like that? Anyway we can…..I remember now!! Poetry in
Passions! Anyway we can leave right now I'm ready!..I mean
No time to waste we should leave immediately!!

Insect:     The Love Police?? Wow! You never told me that you were in the force. You may want to put my heart in protective custody but my name! Why change my name??  I mean Pickle Jar??? HUH?? LOL.
The tropical island sounds great and to have my own personal bodyguard, Wow! My apron still has some chocolate on it from last time. Remember?  As far as the sunglasses, no problem, but I think I'm going to have to bring more of my personal belongings with me because I've heard sometimes the nights at some of these tropical islands can get a little cold. LOL

Thanks for thinking of me when it comes to my writing but, Positions in Pantry? Pain in Pleasure?  Ok, so you finally remembered it’s Poetry in Passion but now I’m kind of wondering if it’s a tropical island that I’m going to or not.
Leave immediately? You’re ready?  What are you talking about?  Where’s your uniform?   Hmmmmm…I’ve got to think about this a little, after all I wouldn’t want to end up in a Love Trap, would I?   Maybe for some company for you I can bring my friend Claudette?  I remember how impressed you were on how big and strong she was.  I’m sure she would keep you fit,  after all you don’t want to spend so much time on a tropical island and come back all sluggish and all.  What would the rest of the force think hmmmmm???  LOL

Insect!  Pickle Jar????  You crack me up!!!!!   ROFLMAO!

OK! WHEN IS THE PLANE LEAVING?

Pickle Jar
Oops!! I mean
