*I consider my anorexia a demon...so here is what I have come up with...enjoy*

It is always there,
Calling me to bow down to it.
But I don't want to, I don't want it to be my master.
For a brief moment,
I am happy because I am saying no to its voice.
But then it calls me.
It starts as a whisper, just a quiet little voice at the back of my head...
I distract myself and move on.
It grows louder,
begins to promise warmth, relaxation.
I dstract myself and move on.
But in the back of my head it is growing naggingly louder.
Soon, it is a raging demon,
yelling, screaming, calling my name.
I feel torn.
I Want to cry, but it hurts.
I want to win, but I am losing.
I don't want the demon to beat me.
Just once, I want to win.
But it whispers...
it calls...
it yells..
I answer.
I bow down.
And once again,
I lose.

This is a very powerful poem, my friend. I'm sorry that you have to battle this demon, and I hope you have more victories in the future.

Blondie, I wish I had the words that you could give you strength to slay that demon. A really powerful poem, all I can say is take care and be careful please. THanks for sharing.

"but for the lovers, their arms Round the griefs of the ages, Who pay no praise or wages Nor heed my craft or art"
Dylan Thomas.

Blondie the content of this poem reminded me so much of a poem that Joel the Wolf over in Dark 2 wrote called "Fighting myself".
Fight on blond lady...James.

Blonde,
I know it's an everyday battle, I have been through it, just keep your chin up and don't give in!

"If you live to be a hundred, I want to be a hundred minus one day so I never have to live without you."
