Hold me

Hold me in your arms
Wrap me tight and don’t let go
I want to feel your warmth around me
I want this time to pass real slow

I want to breath in every part of you
Feel your love inside my soul
Melt as you caress me
Forever warm and never cold

Holding on tighter as time goes by
Hoping so much we won’t have to part
As a tear makes it’s way down on my cheek
Just as reality starts breaking my heart

Closing my eyes to this ecstasy
I squeeze you tighter in hopes of holding on
But the time keeps on ticking away
And before too long my love, you’ll be gone

With tears in my eyes
I trace your lips with my finger
Reaching to kiss you
Wanting so much for this time to linger

I love you my love
Please hold me as tight as you can
Whispering, I’ll forever hold you with me
My love
Our time has come to an end

le beau ideal, well set.
Time has ended and therefore love?
Love has ended and therefore time?

Prometheus the hardest thing to do is letting go of someone you love.  The time together may end but the love remains. Thanks for taking the time to respond.

~Kat~

Beautiful emotions in this piece. I understand all too well how hard it is to let go of somehow you love, and your poem expressed it perfectly, bittersweetly and beautifully.

Take care,

I love you my love
Please hold me as tight as you can
Whispering, I’ll forever hold you with me
My love
Our time has come to an end
.....

Goodbye my love, for the time to depart has come,
Take care, my soul, for, within me I will hold,
forever the love that I feel for you...

Great sentiments...

nice poetry...

regards, sudhir

Mighty and dreadful, for thou art not so;

i could feel you holding your breath to try to make time stand still.
excellent expression of emotion here kat...
i related so much to both the words and the ache.

baby dont you work so hard
for this prize you've found,
it will all be gone-when you turn around,
cause nothing lasts forever anyway.

I also know how hard it is to let go. I have gone through the torment that comes after the separation. It lingers a long long time and I'm not sure I'm over it even yet, I've just become better equipped to deal with the loss.
Very nice work well said!

Simly beautiful, my friend.  I know how hard it is to love someone, and to hold on as tightly as you can, but to know that you can't hold on forever.  There is no pain to compare.  But I have found this solace -- as long as I hurt, I FEEL.  And as long as I feel, I live.    Very well done, my friend!

Love Ya~

I know Kat...they may be physically gone but they live on in our heart...and when we feel the pain and sorrow and the caring and the happiness we feel close to them....James

Melissa:  It's a shame that we ever have to let go of people we love. Thank-you and I'm glad you liked it.

Sudhir:  When we part from someone we love we forever hold the love we have for them inside our soul. Thanks

Janet:  Thank-you so much for your compliments and I don't think anyone is ever good at letting go of someone they love.  I'm happy that when you read it, you felt some of what I was feeling when I wrote it. Janet in comparison to your poem, mine doesn't even come close as far as emotions are concerned. Thanks, but you really didn't have to thank me. I meant every word of it. Warm wishes go out to you.

ethome:  That's part of the problem. Seperation with any loved one lingers for a very very long time. The hurt is so great. We try to deal with it but it's still so difficult. Thanks, I'm glad you liked it.

Terry:  You're right, there is no pain to compare. As far as feeling, I agree with you even with pain you feel but I think I'd rather take the feeling of joy and have a little less pain to deal with. I think everyone could do with a little less hurt in their lives. Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it.

James:  They will always live in our hearts. I agree.  We do feel close to them but at the same time we yearn for them. Thanks
