Starlight glints
in sultry night.
Batsong titters
and crickets cry.
Humid hand
of summer's eve
caressing neck.
Dampened shivers
in fan's wake,
labored breath
of tortured sleep,
echos heavily,
in dead air.
Jasmine scent
pushes through,
touching nose
and freeing mind.

Yesterday is ash, tomorrow is smoke; only today does the fire burn.

Great imagery of a hot sleepless night, open the cool box, turn on the radio, lie back and sweat.
Excellent work JP. Thanks for sharing

I must be stuck in the past Prometheus because I am still living life without AC!

Nice work.
