Across the street from the Restaurant at the End of the Universe
The members of Caffeine Anonymous gather for their weekly meeting
Chairperson K.Anga Roo from the planet Brisbania calls the meeting
The other five members take their seats and begin, for better or for worse.

"Hi everybody. . . I'm Albert. . ."
"HI ALBERT!!!"

I would have never come up with relativity
If it weren't for all those cans of Pepsi
Can after can, case after case I would drink
They would clear my mind and help me to think
But then I needed a Pepsi just to wake up
I'd drink glass after glass and cup after cup
So now, I've been caffeine free for about a week
But this de-caf stuff just really reeks!!

The other memebers of the group could feel Albert's pain
They had been there before many times in their life
Caffeine had done many things to them and caused them great strife
Outside the window, it really looked like it was going to rain

"Hi everybody. . . I'm Sal. . ."
"HI SAL!!"

The Persistance of Memory wasn't easy to do
So that's why I drank lots of Mt. Dew!!
Sitting in the glass, looking so yellow
Made this painter one inspired fellow
But because of it, I was always wired
I couldn't sleep, even though I was tired
Been off the stuff for a month or two
And do I feel better, let me tell you!!

The rain continued outside, mostly harmless, in a way
Beating against the window in rhythm drop after drop
It really didn't seem like it was going to stop
The members waited to see what the next person would say

(the following in digitized voice)
"Hello everyone. . . my name is Stephen. . . "
"HI STEPHEN!!!"

It was not easy to write my History in Time
A work so complete and yet so sublime
And it was all thanks to Dr. Pepper!!
It gave me pep and made me a real high stepper
The hard thing to do was trying to drink it
But I figured it out with this little kit
I get the stuff but right into my veins
And now that I'm off it, I'll never be the same

The rain stopped outside as quickly as it started
The dolphins came by saying, "Thanks for all the fish!"
Leaving their tips on the table, next to their dish
The meeting wasn't over, they had to wait to be parted

"Hi everybody. . . I'm Bill. . ."
"HI BILL!!"

All that time I spent writing code
Trying to hardest to hit the mother lode
010001000111100000111000000111000101010
000111100001100101010110100100001110000
Sorry, went into binary code for just a sec
RC wouldn't hurt me, what the heck!!
Little did I know I'd be hooked on the stuff
One on it's own, it just wasn't enough!!

Bill Gates collapsed to the floor in a crumpled heap
They were ready for that, but not for the spark and the flash
And the sound that he made when he hit, a loud crash!
Turns out he was machine and not man, a secret he couldn't keep

"Hi everybody. . . I'm Brian. . ."
"HI BRIAN!!!"

It came to me while reading American Psycho
Strange for an Irish animation student I know
But in the country all we had was 1984
I'd read it ten times, it was becoming a bore!
But after drinking can after can of Coke
Reading Cocaine Nights was no problem for this bloke!
I don't know about you, but I have had it guys
No more of this caffeine-free stuff, I'm gonna fly!!

The meeting adjourned, the members went to the Restaurant en masse
They all sat down at their favorite table, number 42
And drank themselves silly on Coke, Pepsi, and Mountain Dew
Until they got kicked out, for having no class!!

So, thus ends this weeks Caffeine Anonymous meeting
We're glad that you stopped in to take a look
It's better than what you've read in any book
Next time you come though, give a better greeting!!
