I can not continue to live within these walls. No one cares, or listens to my calls. I'm trapped inside. Society locked the door. They put barbed wire on the walls and broken glass on the floors. I can hear them yelling at me from outside. Calling me names, leaving me no where to hide. I can not describe the pain they cause me to feel. I keep telling myself to wake up. This can't be real. I hear them screaming, "Nasty Dyke!!! I hope you Die!!" With every word they say, is another night I cry. The guards open the door, and pretend to set me free. As I take my first step, a bottle is thrown at me. The crowd starts to laugh as I start to fall down. They come racing towards me, kicking me on the ground. I'm begging for mercy, "Please just leave." They've punctured my lungs. It hurts to breathe. "I refuse to go back to my closet. I refuse to go back to that Hell. I'm out now, and I'll never return, so wish me well." I stood up on my feet, and smiled at the crowd. I'm not ashamed anymore. I am finally proud. |

This was incredible...Poetry is a great way to vent feelings and I hope you keep it up we are all here for a reason and we are all different but it shouldn't make a difference, but to some it does unfortunately. I say go forth, be proud and always stand up for you and those who are also being put down because they dare to say they are different.I applaud you and wish you well in all you do in your life.
