I just woke up this morning, and for some reason, I had the line "as my heart sing's it lullaby" in my head, and this was the result.

~*HEART'S LULLABY*~

Lay your weary head upon my breast, my love
and with care, I'll caress with a soft hand the lonely tears away,
I'll breath a sigh of love into your waiting lungs,
peace for dawn's light, a newfound hope for the beginning day,
hold tight to faith, my love
pleasure unending will come at last,
lying enraptured in my arms, an unconditional love so tender,
in cupid's desire in which we bask,
place your head against my heart, as it speaks of words so true,
run your fingers through my silken hair of chestnut, my love,
like this, forevermore we will stay, just me and you,
while entranced upon the winds of romance, our love shall be,
as angels sing their symphony of delight for us, such beauty from above,
lay your weary head upon my breast, explore my soul like a child,
outside our window of dreams, touched by our bond, the moon in wonderment, very gently sighs,
for, body and soul between two lovers has no bounds,
listen closely, my love, do you hear it's whimsical sound?
As my heart sings for you, it's soothing lullaby

I am in wonderment too,

Once again in awe I stand,
Surely angels guide your hand.

You just get better and better Melissa

Thank you everyone!  I tell you, I love it here at Passions, this is my home away from home.  And, isn't it strange how sometimes you spend months perfecting a poem, and it turns out to be okay and then out of the blue you think of a line and in 10 minutes you write a poem that is better than the one that took months to write!  Maybe, I'm the only one who feels this way, but, I just wanted to share my take on one of life's little ironies on a poet

Take care,

Beautiflly captured.  Here's hoping that I can wake in the morning feeling half as inspired as this.  If so, you will see the results. Sweet awakenings OH talented one.
