Alcohol is one of the easiest drugs to obtain, another is solvents like glue and butane, both these make your nervous system decrease, especially if the amount of drug is increased. Downer drugs make you feel relaxed and calm, but many drugs bring psychological and physical harm, nasal columns collapse after sniffing has been abused, many people lose their friends when they have refused. When you have stopped taking, the temptation never goes away, you want the crazy feeling you got from sniffing aerosol spray, you try and fill the time you once used for smoking blow, but you can’t concentrate and the time just goes so slow. You now buy the stuff in and sell it for double, you are a dealer and now can get in worse trouble, this is the only way to pay for your gear, to get you back in your own world out of here. |

Y'know...I keep avoiding this one...I guess it is because after a lifetime of addiction, I now try to avoid easy answers...also, not too sure what the point is...I only know from my own experience... It is only natural to want to be out of pain, but I have found that the very things that buffer the pain of darkness also shut out the healing light...so, hugs to you, Debbie, and be assured that you are not alone. |

I read this last week and commented on it. Instead of reposting so soon, it's probably better to just find your poem in the search feature of these forums and respond to it, which will push it back up top. I had several comments to make and a couple of questions on several of your poems but you didn't respond... so maybe you weren't aware that you could respond to your own poem and it would kick it to the forefront. this is hard, i've been around these hard times, i'm sorry that the world has these options, i'm not religios at all, but the earth will always love you and guide you, not the world, the world is different, i'm sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, what a pathetic word, i wish you well, i spell, i wish you well. do you do good or does it still feel like hell, let me know if i hav crossed the double yellow line, i am not trying to, any how the poem it's self is real.
